Clownerie
Nel gennaio 2011 nasce, dall’idea di mio fratello Daniele, il progetto di un concept album finalizzato alla sensibilizzazione contro gli armamenti nucleari. Al progetto aderiscono, oltre al sottoscritto, Ernesto De Pascale, e Peter Dulborough (cantautore Inglese con il quale collaboro da tempo). Mentre iniziamo la realizzazione dei primi brani il caro amico Ernesto viene improvvisamente a mancare lasciandoci in una fase di stallo.
Intanto sono stati realizzati 3 brani, con la collaborazione delle e dei cantanti: Giada Catalano (degli Zooisteria), Silvia Ciolli (dei Nudampère), Lo stesso Peter Dulborough ed Alessio Misuri. I musicisti: Remo Gherardelli (Cosy horror show) e Maurizio Sarcoli (Nudampère) alle batterie, Marcello Benci al violoncello e Perter Dulborough alle tastiere.
Anche altri problemi hanno fermato il progetto, ma nei primi mesi del 2012, mentre continuavano i lavori con gli altri progetti dei quali faccio parte, inizio a scrivere nuovi brani e rielaborarne altri che erano li da anni. Questi brani hanno nei testi delle tematiche politiche e sociali, in contesto Italiano ma anche internazionale. Questa volta quindi non è la bomba ma il rapporto tra il popolo e la classe dirigente. Improvvisamente mi è chiaro come chiamare il progetto, e mi rendo anche conto di quanto questo sia l’estensione del progetto iniziato anno prima. Mio Fratello e Peter Dulborough aderiscono immediatamente, così come Silvia Ciolli, Giada Catalano, e la vulcanica (ex Nudampère) Maria Paternostro.
A primavera inoltrata iniziano le registrazioni ed a giugno esce il singolo, cantato da Silvia, “I politici non chiedono mai scusa”. Il video è molto semplice e non contiene scene oscene o cruente, ma inizia subito ad avere opposizione e censure da parte di alcuni networks. Al contrario ottiene consensi e commenti positivi da parte dei visitatori della rete. Alcuni esempi di censura: Myspace ha preteso la variazione del titolo (postato poi con il nome dell’album che ancora non era uscito, Clawnerie). Uno TV l’ha rifiutato, Daily Motion ha impedito l’upload appena saputo il titolo motivandolo con una violazione del copyright (senza che fosse nemmeno messo in rete!), non mi era mai successo con nessun video da me caricato su quel sito.
Alla fine di luglio è uscita la snack version dell’album Clawnerie. 6 brani dei quali 2 in Inglese 1 strumentale e 3 in Italiano. Le voci sono delle tre fanciulle del progetto: Giada, Maria e Silvia.
Ad Ottobre del 2012 è uscita, scaricabile gratuitamente, la nostra versione di un classico dei Sex Pistols (Anarchy in UK), rinominata Anarchy in EU.
Intanto è pronta la supper version dell’album.
Altri artisti aderenti al progetto, che compaiono nella nuova versione di Clownerie sono la voce di Marta Ciuffi e degli attori Stefano Gragnani ed Ely Siosopulos. Più la voce di Peter Dulborough.
L'album ("Clownerie" supper version) è uscita su piattaforma digitale il 14 del Febbraio 2013 e contiene 12 brani. I 6 brani della snack version più 6 nuovi.
Hanno partecipato ai live del progetto Bob Mangione, chitarrista bassista, armonicista e cantante e Fabio Arciglione, chitarrista, bassista, batterista, tastierista e cantante.
L'11 Maggio 2013 nell'ambito della settimana per l'Europa ci siamo esibiti in uno degli spazi della notte blu Fiorentina.
Intanto abbiamo ripreso le registrazioni per il nuovo album, che includerà anche i brani del 2011. Alle nuove sessioni si sono aggregate le cantanti Serena Ardinghi e Chiara Perondi.
Intanto è uscita la versione CD di Clownerie, che contiene15 brani, con tre inediti.

In January 2011 my brother Daniele had the idea of a concept album finalized on the awareness against nuclear weapons. The first partecipating to this project were me, Ernesto De Pascale and Peter Dulborough (a British musician with whom I am working from a bit of time).
While we were recording the first songs the dear friend Ernesto died tragically leaving us in a period of stall.
The three songs were realized with the singers Giada Catalano (from Zooisteria), Silvia Ciolli (from Nudampère), Peter Dulborough and Alessio Misuri. The musicians: Remo Gherardelli (Cosy horror show) and Maurizio Sarcoli (Nudampère) on drums, Marcello Benci on cello and Perter Dulborough on keyboards.
On January 2012, while working to other music projects, I started to write and rearrange songs for a concept album. The themes of the lyrics of the songs are social and politic, with international view and using several language. In this concept the theme is not the atomic bomb but the relationship between the people and the ruling classes. I realized that this was the continuation of the project started one year before and I knew how to call it. The artist mentioned before joined the project, more Maria Paternostro. In the spring 2012 we started the recordings and in June the first release, the single (in Italian) “i politici non chiedono mai scusa” (the politicians never apologize) the video of the song is very simple and do not contain strong scenes. But is been censored in several networks. On myspace we had to rename the title of the song (appears under the name clownerie, that is the name of the album), the Italian network UnoTV refused it and Daily Motion stopped the upload saying that is due to a Copyright Infringement. The last is absolutely the craziest, I uploaded many videos on Daily motion and never happened a so crazy thing.
In the end of July 2012 the first edition of the album “Clownerie” (snack version) was on sale on the most important digital stores. It contains 6 songs. 3 in Italian language, two in English and one instrumental. The voices of these songs are of the three girls Giada, Maria and Silvia.
In October 2012 we realized, with free download, the song, based on the Sex pistols classic, “Anarchy in UE”.
From the 14th of February 2013 is on sale on line the supper version on the album “Clownerie” with 12 songs. The 6 already on line more 6. With more voices like Marta Ciuffi, Ely Siosopulos and Stefano Gragnani. And more the voice Of Peter Dulborough.
Now we are recording songs for the new album and for the CD version of Clownerie, that will include three new original songs.
They have participated in the project live Bob Mangione, bass guitarist, harmonica player and singer and Fabio Arciglione, guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist and singer. The May 11, 2013 as part of the week for Europe we performed in one of the spaces of the night blue Fiorentina. Meanwhile, we keep on recording for the new album, which will include songs of 2011. Alle new sessions are aggregated singers Serena Ardinghi and Chiara Perondi.
Is available now the CD version of Clownerie, which will contain 15 tracks, with three new songs.
